Some of you might remember that line from a Dixie Chicks song about a hundred years ago. I have to make this a quick post, but that line about sums it all up.
Had a real roller-coaster of a ride these last 24 hours. A profe*sor at school tried to shake me down, I feel, because I have a talent with the written word. Luckily, the crisis has been averted thanks to some heavy duty prayer and my organizational skills. But it has certainly turned me off from sharing my talent with too many people. I don't want to become bitter from this whole thing, but it sure has left an awfully bad taste in my mouth.
The bright side of this dark cloud has been a letter of acceptance to the University I wanted. Hallelujah!! I cannot be happier. I am really looking forward to leaving the basics of an AA degree behind and starting on my major - writing!
The last day has taught me that God is great and will always hold you in a time of need. I hope that's a lesson that we can all remember. And to always organize your ammunition.
